Yann Bouteiller is a Research Associate at the MIST Lab. He completed a dual M.Sc. degree at Polytechnique Montréal (specializing in Machine Learning and Operational Research, with a focus on deep neural networks at Mila) and at the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, where his engineering degree specialized in computer science, embedded systems, and microelectronics. He graduated from Montpellier University in Mathematics and Computer Science.
Current Work
Yann explores the potential of machine learning in partially and fully distributed settings, with current interests in model parallelism, transfer learning, recurrent neural networks, deep reinforcement learning, and the intersection of reinforcement learning with swarm robotics.
