Hassan Fouad is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the MIST Lab. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Cairo University and completed his PhD in Computer Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal. His background spans control and guidance, system modeling and simulation, parameter identification and estimation, robot networks, and hands-on design and fabrication.
Hassan's research focuses on energy sufficiency and persistence for autonomous robots — using tools such as control barrier functions to enable long-term missions in unknown environments.
